The Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ancient Patriarchate of Alexandria is convening in Alexandria, Egypt. The sessions will take place from Tuesday, October 7, to Thursday, October 9.
The Synod is expected to elect new hierarchs, and Metropolitan Seraphim of Zimbabwe will deliver a presentation.
Metropolitan Daniel of Accra will participate in the Synod sessions, representing his province in the Supreme Governing Body of the Orthodox Church in Africa.
He will have the opportunity to speak about the spiritual, pastoral, philanthropic, and missionary work being carried out in Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, and Mali.
