Today, Tuesday, October 22, 2024, the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate convened with its new composition, effective September 1 of this year.
During the meeting, greetings were exchanged between the Patriarch Bartholomew and Metropolitan Makarios of Gortyna and Arcadia, who is the first of the new members of the Synod.
During the lunch break, the Ecumenical Patriarch and the members of the holy body warmly and honorably welcomed the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha, along with his associates. A lengthy and informative discussion followed between the two parties.
