The Hegumen of the Holy Monastery of Mount Tabor fell asleep in the Lord

The Patriarchate of Jerusalem announced with great sorrow, yet the sorrow in the Lord, that on Thursday afternoon, June 18, 2026, the Hegumen of the Holy Monastery of Mount Tabor, Archimandrite Hilarion Gramenos, fell asleep in the Lord.

The departed served with zeal for many years in various ministries, mainly at the H. Monastery of the Transfiguration in Mount Tabor, which he also renovated.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 12 noon at the H. Monastery of Tabor, by Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem.
