At the end of 2020, the Graeco-Roman Museum of Alexandria is expected to open to the general public, as Mona Hagag, professor of Greco-Roman Antiquities and president of the Antiquities Association in Alexandria has revealed.

It should be noted that the renovation of the museum’s building has been completed and 50,000 new artifacts will be housed in it.

Through the archeological collection of the Museum, the ordinary visitor will be able to imagine how the ancient Egyptian society functioned, depicting the living conditions of that time.

The Hellenic-Roman Museum of Alexandria was established in 1892, restored in 1984 and closed again in the early 2000s, as the building suffered clear cracks, failing to reopen to this day.
