At the Holy Monastery of Pantokratoros there was held the first Divine Liturgy of a Bishop of the new autocephalous Church of Ukraine in Mount Athos.
The Bishop of Odessa Paul led the holy vigilance and the divine liturgy at the Holy Monastery of Pantokratoros, in the presence of the Bishop Elder Gabriel.
It should be reminded that the Holy Monastery of Pantokratoros favored the sending of a delegation committee of Mount Athos to Kiev, for the enthronement of the Metropolitan Epiphanius.
The Bishop, after his visit and remaining at the Holy Monastery of Pantokratoros, visited the Hiera Epistasia (Supervisory Committee).
There, he paid respects and was given the recognizing document of Hiera Epistasia to all the monasteries of Mount Athos.
Onwards, the delegation of the Church of Ukraine visited the delegates of the Holy Monastery of Esphigmenou and met the Archbishop of the Holy Monastery Archimandrite Bartholomew.
At the meeting, they discussed the important unifying role of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, on the basis of the apostolic heritage and the teachings of the Holy Fathers.
