On the evening of Palm Sunday, April 13, 2025, the First Bridegroom Service of the Holy Week commenced at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
This service was presided over by Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem with the concelebration of the Holy Sepulchre Hieromonks and Hierodeacons, led by the Elder Kamarasis, Archimandrite Nektarios. The hymns were chanted in Greek by the chief cantor, Deacon Eustathios, along with visiting chanters from Greece, and assisted in the Praises by Metropolitan Joachim of Helenoupolis.
Patriarch Theophilos addressed the devout congregation of pilgrims of Holy Week and Pascha, speaking on the theme of the Bridegroom and Saviour of our souls.
