The feast of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary was greatly celebrated in Melbourne.
The two-day worship services were held with strict restrictions, behind closed doors, due to measures in force in the state of Victoria to prevent the spread of the pandemic as reported on vema.com.au.
The worship services focused on the Holy Temple of Panagia Soumelas in the suburb of East Keilor, where on the eve of the feast the Archbishop North-Coat, Archimandrite Eumenios Vassilopoulos performed the Solemn Vespers, with the participation of the Hierarchical Head of the Church and Priests of the Archdiocese, while on the day οf the Dormition, he performed the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy, also accompanied by Priests of the Archdiocese.
