The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, on the occasion of the Feast of St. Theophano the Empress, joined in prayer on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Patriarchal Church, during the Archieratical Divine Liturgy officiated by Metropolitan Anthimos of Alexandroupolis.
Present at the service were the Hierarchs: Metropolitan Stephanos of Kallioupolis and Madytos, Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydoniai, Metropolitan Simeon of Fthiotis, Metropolitan Joachim of Bursa, Metropolitan Irinaios of Florina, Prespa and Eordaia, and Metropolitan Adrianos of Halicarnassus, as well as the Archons Offikialioi of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the faithful of Constantinople and abroad.
On the day of the feast, as well as during the Great Vespers on the eve of the celebration, presided over by Metropolitan Joachim of Bursa, the holy relic of the Saint, which is kept in the Patriarchal Church, was exposed for veneration by the faithful.
