On Wednesday, July 2, the Pilgrimage Shrine of the Virgin Mary of Blachernae, located in the Phanar region of the Golden Horn, celebrated the Feast of the Deposition of the Precious Robe of the Most Holy Theotokos.
Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi presided over the Divine Liturgy and procession in the church courtyard.
Also present were Bishop Adrianos of Halicarnassus, supervisor of the region; many faithful; and children from the Greek community of Romania who are currently attending the patriarchal summer camp at the children’s village on the island of Prinkipos (Proti).
