The great Feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is expected to be celebrated once again this year with great splendor and in a spirit of reverence at the Sacred Patriarchal and Stavropegial Monastery of the Transfiguration on the island of Halki.
This year’s celebration is especially significant because it will include the ceremonial opening of the fully renovated monastery’s main church. This undertaking highlights the Ecumenical Patriarchate’s commitment to preserving and promoting our ecclesiastical and cultural heritage.
