The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew received a series of visitors in audience at the Phanar, including clergy, representatives of institutional bodies, academics, as well as political figures from Greece and abroad.
Specifically, the Ecumenical Patriarch was visited by Archimandrite Fr. Spyridon Katramados, a clergyman of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, accompanied by a group of pilgrims from Athens.
Also received in audience was the Board of Directors of the “Halki Theologians’ Home and Friends of Halki,” led by its President, Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Mr. Nikolaos Xexakis, Emeritus Professor of the University of Athens.
The Ecumenical Patriarch also received the new President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Ms. Petra Bayr, accompanied by members of the Assembly who are parliamentarians and their associates. During the meeting, the Ecumenical Patriarch referred to the ministry and mission of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
In addition, Mr. Theodoros Roussopoulos, Member of the Hellenic Parliament and former President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, was received in audience, accompanied by his son Vasileios and his associates.
Finally, the Ecumenical Patriarch received a group of professors and students from the Theological School of Marmara University.
