On Holy Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew attended the celebration of the Sacrament of Holy Unction.
Also participating in prayer were Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Myra; Ambassador Konstantinos Koutas, Consul General of Greece; and a large number of faithful.
That morning, the Patriarch presided over the final Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts.
Furthermore, the Ecumenical Patriarch presided at the Patriarchal Church during:
a) the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts on the morning of Holy Monday (April 6);
b) the Bridegroom Service on the evening of the same day;
c) the Bridegroom Service on the evening of Holy Tuesday, April 7.
