The doors of the Holy Monastery of Saint Panteleimon are closed for the delegate of the Church of Ukraine

The delegates of the new Church of Ukraine who wanted to visit the Holy Monastery of Saint Panteleimon found its doors shut.

More precisely, nowadays the Metropolitan of Odessa Paul, of the New Church of Ukraine, is undertaking a pilgrimage journey to Mount Athos with the blessing of Ecumenical Patriarch.

On Saturday, the Metropolitan Paul wished to visit the Holy Monastery of Saint Panteleimon (Russian) so as to worship the Church and kiss the sacred relics.

According to information, as soon as the Metropolitan arrived at the Monastery of Saint Panteleimon, he was informed by the brotherhood that he has not the blessing to worship.

Afterwards, the Abbot of the Monastery Elder Eulogios ordered to close the gates of the Monastery for the delegates of the New Church of Ukraine.

Moreover, Abbot Eulogios explained to the Metropolitan of Odessa and his accompanying clerics that the Monastery not only does not recognize them but it shall not recognize them in the future as well.
