LAST UPDATE 18:10
The debate on the constitutional revision, which started this morning, has been concluded, while the roll-call vote is currently underway in the plenary session of the parliament.
The focus is on Article 3 on religious neutrality. It is noted that in the previous vote on February 14, the amendment to this article had passed “marginally”, with 151 votes.
The vote is the second round, during which the deputies will be called to vote on a total of 32 proposals made by SYRIZA’s parliamentary group, four proposals tabled by ND and seven additional proposals tabled by independent deputies who had collected the necessary 151 votes, which is a majority in the 300-seat Greek parliament.
In the case that an article proposed for amendment or revision does not collect over 151 votes in the second round of voting, it will be rejected and will not be referred to the revisional parliament.
