Archbishop Georgios of Cyprus expressed the solidarity of the Church of Cyprus with the Church of Antioch in light of the recent events in al-Suqaylabiyah and the current situation in Syria, the repercussions of which have also affected the festive period.
The Archbishop made these remarks during a telephone conversation with Patriarch Ioannis of Antioch and All the East.
The recent and condemnable military escalation in Lebanon was also referenced during the conversation, with the country bleeding as a result of a war that spares no one.
