On the 30th of January 2021, the yearly event of the Archdiocese of Thyateira, dedicated to the Three Hierarchs, successfully took place online, due to the circumstances of the Covid 19 pandemic.
The main speaker was the Archimandrite Theonas Bakalis, Priest-in-charge of the Cathedral of the Divine Wisdom in London. Fr Theonas spoke on the topic of ‘The Three Hierarchs: Teachers of the world throughout the ages’. With great attendance from the faithful, the event was blessed by Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain and was enriched by hymns chanted by members of the Archdiocesan School of Byzantine Music.
Following such a positive response and attendance from the public, the Archdiocese of Thyateira will organise a monthly online event, presenting contemporary topics of interest, relating to our Greek Orthodox education and genos.
