The Holy Temple of St. Nicholas opened its doors to the faithful of Cairo who, under the Hierarchical guidance of Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, experienced the communion of the Christian faith.
On Sunday, December 5, Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria presided over the Hierarchical Vespers and artoklasia.
The service was co-officiated by the Patriarchal Vicar of Cairo, Metropolitan Nikodimos of Memphis, Metropolitan Meletios of Katanga, and many priests.
The Holy Temple was full of faithful Greeks and Arab speakers, with the scouts of the Christian groups of Al Sakr offering service by observing order and paying homage.
On December 6, Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa presided over the Divine Liturgy, along with Metropolitan Nikodimos of Memphis, Metropolitan Meletios of Katanga, Metropolitan Nicholas of Ermoupolis, and many priests.
The Ambassador of Greece Nikolaos Garilidis was accompanied by the Greek Attaché of Defense (PN) George Hatzis.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus Homer Mavromatis was also present, accompanied by Deputy Ambassador Konstantinos Christofidis.
However, the Patriarch talked about the youth. Addressing the young students, he told them that Metropolitan Nikodimos and Father Stefanos decorated the Temple with beautiful flowers, but you, my children, are the most beautiful decoration. The Patriarch also stressed that Saint Nicholas loved, and protected all the children.
