Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens visited today the inmates of the Religious Institution for Female Individuals suffering from Mental Retardation or Down syndrome “Maria Kokkori” of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens in Glyfada.
Accompanied by the general director of the Institution, Archimandrite Nicodemos Farmakis, the Primate of the Greek Church had the opportunity to see once more the work being done there and to be near the inmates of this model unit of the Archdiocese.
The Archbishop offered gifts to both staff and inmates and exchanged warm wishes and gifts with the promise that he would join them again for the vasilopita (New Year’s cake) cut next year.
