According to the latest announcement of the administration of the University General Hospital of Heraklion, the state of health of the Archbishop of Crete is considered critical but stable.
The Archbishop has been hospitalized since Sunday in the Intensive Care Unit due to respiratory failure.
The announcement states that the Archbishop “remains intubated with the breathing machine, fever-free and hemodynamically stable”, while his waking process had already begun yesterday.
Also, with a letter published by ekriti.gr, the Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa sends wishes to the Archbishop for a speedy recovery.
In his message, the Patriarch of Alexandria states that he “wishes from the bottom of his heart a speedy recovery to the Archbishop of Crete and his return to his responsible duties, as he is a Hierarch of high moral character and a boast of Crete.”
