Archbishop Makarios of Australia met with the President of the Greek Orthodox Community Canberra, John Loukadellis, and Father Petros of St Nicholas Church in Canberra.
During the meeting, which took place at the Archdiocese office in Redfern, Sydney, on Monday, they discussed the positive growth of the Greek community in Canberra and ensure its commitment to unity.
During their discussion, John Loukadellis and Fr. Petros talked about the committee’s vision for the future development of the community. They revealed their plan for future youth involvement with the church, along with the recent changes undertaken with their Greek School.
During the course of the meeting, the Archbishop also confirmed that his first official visit to the St Nicholas Church in Canberra will be during the Easter Holy Week, on Holy Tuesday.
