On Monday morning, Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece met with the Primates and Representatives of the Orthodox Churches participating in the second International Scientific Conference, which was organized by the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece to celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of the founding of the journal Theologia.
The Archbishop thanked the Primates and Delegations of the Orthodox Churches for attending the conference. Specifically, he received the delegation from the Patriarchate of Alexandria, consisting of Metropolitan Theophylaktos of Caesarea (Elder) and Metropolitan Georgios of Guinea. He also received the delegation from the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, which included Archbishop Nektarios of Anthedon and Archimandrite Ieronymos, Exarch of the Holy Sepulchre in Athens.
The Archbishop also received a delegation from the Patriarchate of Serbia, consisting of Archbishop and Metropolitan Arsenios of Niš and his Deacon. He also received a delegation from the Patriarchate of Romania, led by Bishop Vissarion of Tulcea. The Archbishop also received Metropolitan Daniel of Sofia, Patriarch of All Bulgaria. He was accompanied by Metropolitans Seraphim of Nevrokop and Grigorios of Vratsa. A delegation from the Patriarchate of Georgia also visited the Archbishop. Metropolitan Gerasimos of Zugdidi and Tsaishi represented them. He was accompanied by two priests.
The Primate of the Church of Greece received Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Durrës, and All Albania. He was accompanied by Metropolitan Ioannis of Korça. The Archbishop met with Metropolitan Arsenios of Kuopio and Karelia, representing the Autonomous Church of Finland, as well as with Bishop Damaskinos of Haapsalu, representing the Independent Church of Estonia.
