“Let the church be the center of our lives,” emphasized Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece. He spoke from the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in Omonia, where he presided over Great Festive Vespers on Tuesday evening. Bishop Chrysostomos of Evripos co-officiated and delivered the homily.
The Archbishop offered warm wishes for a blessed and joyful celebration and spoke about Saints Constantine and Helen. He noted that bishops are responsible for their parishes and must care for them. He added that each parish is like a family, sometimes large and sometimes small. Every family has its purpose, but also faces many challenges.
“Cooperation and unity are essential, especially when life’s wounds can drive us apart,” he emphasized, adding: “Let us not allow hardships to turn us from friends into strangers.” He called on everyone to make the church the center of our lives and our journey because the love and strength we receive from the church cannot be found anywhere else.
