Archbishop Elpidophoros of America attended the Inauguration of President Donald Trump, 47th President of the United States, today January 20, 2025.
While thousands were expected to attend the outdoor events, due to the extreme cold the Inauguration was held inside the U.S. Capitol Rotunda and the Emancipation Hall.
Archbishop Elpidophoros will also attend tomorrow’s National Prayer Service at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC.
This interfaith National Prayer Service has been a part of the Inauguration celebrations since George Washington and gathers interfaith and ecumenical leaders to pray for “thanksgiving for our democracy and to seek God’s guidance in the years ahead.”
