From the bordelands of Thrace, “Apostoli” NGO began to distribute packages of food in the wake of Easter in order to support the poor families experiencing daily difficulties.
A team of people from the Charitable Organization of the Archdiocese of Athens distributed food parcels to 550 families of ultraperipheral regions in collaboration with the Metropolis of Maroneia and Komotini, Metropolis of Xanthi, Metropolis of Alexandroupoli, Didymoteicho and Orestiada and the valuable help of Masoutis supermarkets, in the context of the “Together where needed” program.
Metropolitan Panteleimon of Maroneia and Komotini, Metropolitan Panteleimon of Xanthi, Metropolitan Anthimos of Alexandroupoli, and Metropolitan Damaskinos of Didymoteicho, Orestiada and Soufli wholeheartedly thanked Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, and Director General of “Apostoli” Konstantinos Dimtsas, who are standing by our fellow citizens, while stressing the significant and continuous offer of “Apostoli” and Masoutis supermarkets in ultraperipheral regions of Greece.
“Here, in Western Thrace, we continue to distribute food parcels in the wake of the Holy Easter. All the members of “Apostoli” NGO are redouble our efforts to relieve those who need us more than ever,” says the Director General Konstantinos Dimtsas.
