On Saturday, 15 February 2025, a forty-five-member group of teachers and students from the Department of History and Ethnology of the Democritus University of Thrace, under the leadership of Associate Professor Athanasios Kougoulos, visited the Theological School of Halki.
The visitors were received by the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, in the Great Synod Room of the School, where, welcoming them, he referred to the history of the School and the efforts for its reopening.
Afterwards, the teachers and students venerated at the Holy Trinity Chapel and were given a tour of the old classrooms and the historic Library of the School.
