The Metropolitan Synod of the Metropolis of Muntenia and Dobruja convened for a working session on the evening of June 3, 2026.
The meeting was held in the Synodal Hall of the Patriarchal Residence in Bucharest under the chairmanship of Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
The hierarchs discussed matters concerning the life and mission of the Metropolis, as well as issues related to the pastoral, administrative, and spiritual activities of the dioceses within its jurisdiction.
The session formed part of the regular synodal work aimed at coordinating and strengthening the ministry of the Church throughout the region.
The Metropolis of Muntenia and Dobruja, one of the principal ecclesiastical structures of the Romanian Orthodox Church, continues to play a significant role in the pastoral care of the faithful and the promotion of the Church’s spiritual and social mission.
