Metropolitan Ioannis of Zambia presided over the Divine Liturgy for the Sunday of the Samaritan Woman in the Cathedral of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel in Maputo.
The Metropolitan proclaimed the Divine Word and offered a memorial service for the last Byzantine emperor, Konstantinos Palaiologos, and all those slaughtered on the sad anniversary of the Fall of Constantinople.
The Metropolitan referred to the sad anniversary and urged the faithful to keep the memory of those who fell for the faith and the homeland alive, stressing that it is a day of remembrance and honor.
