The Plenary Session of the Council of State rejected today three applications that have been sent by citizens, mainly lawyers, who requested the suspension of the state decisions in regards to the participation of a limited number of believers in the Divine Liturgies of Christmas and New Year, due to COVID-19.
Particularly, the Plenary Session of the CoS, chaired by Mary Sharp, for reasons of public health protection, which are related to the prevention of further spread of the coronavirus, rejected the requests of the three citizens.
It should be noted that no appeal was filed today by the Church of Greece, as it had been announced earlier, against the measures for the non-participation of believers in tomorrow’s service on the feast of the Epiphany.
