The Standing Holy Synod of the Church of Greece decided, for the Metropolitans Kosmas of Aetolia and Seraphim of Kythera, to begin the process of interrogations and most likely to face the imposition of ecclesiastical punishments.
The Standing Holy Synod heard the explanations of the two hierarchs who are accused of disobedience to the decisions of the Standing Holy Synod, regarding the health measures that were decided during the Easter period in order to stop the coronavirus pandemic.
However, the two hierarchs appeared firm in their positions, despite the fact that they showed all due respect before the Holy Synod.
