The Soumela Monastery in Trabzon can be visited again from today, Thursday, July 1.
As reported by ertnews.gr, in the monastery, where 90% of the work has been completed, the 10 chapels, the Bell Tower, the guest house, the monks, the student rooms, and cellars located north of the Church will be open for the public eye according to Turkish media.
In February 2016, restoration works, landscaping, geological, geotechnical research, and the fixing and removal of all dangerous rocks with steel nets in the Monastery, one of the most important historical, tourist, and religious centers, began.
The inauguration will be attended by Turkish Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, as reported by CNN TURK.
