On the morning of Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, a Solemn Episcopal Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Holy Monastery of Saint Simeon the God-receiver for the repatriation anniversary of the Saint’s holy relic to his Monastery, where his tomb lies. The Liturgy was officiated by Metropolitan Hesychios of Capitolias, in the care of the Overseer of the Monastery, Hierodeacon Simeon.
On the same day, Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos received:
- The Franciscan Hieromonks Dobromir and Athanasios for matters regarding the maintenance of rooms in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
- Archimandrite Leontios, Hegoumen of the Shrine of Cana in Galilee, and Archimandrite Benedictos Kayal for guidance in order to take up their new ministry.
- A group of fifteen pilgrims from Ukraine, whom He blessed for their pilgrimage to the Holy Sepulchre.
