The celebration of Christmas in the Metropolis of Belgium was celebrated with brilliance and solemnity. On December 25, 2021, Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium presided over the Divine Liturgy in the Metropolitan Church of the Holy Archangels in Brussels, accompanied by clergy of the Metropolis, in compliance with all the COVID-19 restrictive measures.
During the Divine Liturgy, the Patriarchal message was read on the feast of Christmas after the Gospel reading and the festal message of the Metropolitan before the communion of the faithful.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Metropolitan blessed and wished the congregation.
