On December 20, the Forefeast of the Nativity of Christ, when the Church commemorates the holy Hieromartyr Ignatius the God-bearer, Patriarch Daniel of Bulgaria presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Cathedral Church of Saint Great Martyr Nedelya in Sofia.
Concelebrating with the Patriarch were Bishop Ioan of Branitsa, First Vicar of the Metropolitan of Sofia; Economos Biser Kostadinov, Chairman of the Church Council of the Cathedral; the cathedral clergy; clergy of the city of Sofia; as well as Protosdeacon Ivan Petkov together with Deacons Yulian Perikliev, Yoan Zlatev, and Dimitar Stefanov.
After the Great Entrance, the priestly ordination of Deacon Blagovest Milanov was performed, followed by the ordination to the diaconate of Vasil Gruev.
