The Council of Ministers of Cyprus decided on Wednesday to take additional measures to stem the spread of the coronavirus.
According to gr.euronews.com, the Minister of Health of Cyprus, Konstantinos Ioannou, presented the decisions and measures that will enter into force immediately since a record number of coronavirus cases and deaths were reported in recent days. As a result, malls, restaurants, and churches will close their doors and distance learning will be obligatory in high schools.
Moreover, regarding the closing of churches, it was mentioned that church services and other forms of religious worship in religious places will be performed without the presence of believers. In addition, religious ceremonies, such as weddings, baptisms, and funerals, are allowed with a maximum of 10 people.
