Serbian Patriarch Porfirije received Aleksander Botsan-Harchenko, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Serbia at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade on the 11th of March 2021.
According to the statement of the Patriarchate of Serbia, Patriarch Porfirije and Aleksander Botsan-Harchenko during the audience talked about historical and current topics in relations between brotherly nations of Serbia and Russia with a goal to recognize directions of further development and the strengthening of their firm friendly relations.
Patriarch Porfirije thanked Ambassador Botsan-Harchenko for the visit and commitment to the rapprochement of the two fraternal peoples at all levels, while the Ambassador thanked the Patriarch for the warm welcome and dedicated work on establishing interfaith coexistence in peace and love in the Western Balkans.
The audience was attended by a member of the Holy Synod of Bishops Bishop David of Krusevac, Deputy Ambassador Andrei Tamyashov and the head of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch Deacon Aleksandar Prascevic, PhD.
