Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia on behalf of the Serbian Orthodox Church and in his personal capacity, extended heartfelt greetings to all Muslims on the occasion of the upcoming feast of Kurban Bayram.
In his message, Patriarch Porfirije conveyed his sincere wishes that “the All-Merciful Creator grant them blessing and spiritual strength,” and that they celebrate the great feast together with their loved ones “in peace, health, and prosperity.”
The Patriarch further expressed the hope that the days of Kurban Bayram, inspired by the steadfast faith of the forefather Abraham, would strengthen faith in God and be filled with understanding and mutual respect, “in the spirit of the elevated traditional values carried by this feast.”
