Sakis Kechagioglou, with origins from Constantinople, was appointed a member of the foundation by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. The Foundation was established with the seat of the Patriarchal and Stavropegian Monastery Zangaroli in Akrotiri, Chania, with Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon as president.
