A delegation of the Romanian Patriarchate is currently on the Holy Mountain of Athos, offering support to Romanian monastic communities on behalf of Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
As part of this initiative, the Patriarch has donated books published by the Romanian Patriarchate to enrich the libraries of five monastic establishments. Each received 290 titles, bringing the total to 1,450 volumes. In addition, approximately eight tons of non-perishable food will be distributed in the coming days to assist the daily needs of the monastic communities.
This effort highlights the ongoing care and connection of the Romanian Church with its monastic presence on Mount Athos, supporting both the spiritual and material life of the monks.
The program is made possible through the generosity of donors. Those wishing to contribute can support similar initiatives by making a donation through the official platform, helping to bring the light of faith to Romanians everywhere. Donors’ names will be commemorated at the altar of the Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest.
