The Holy Synod of the Church of Greece at its session on August 28, 2019, decided to hold the 2nd meeting of the representatives of the Holy Metropolises of the Church of Greece in preparation for the 2021 festivities for the completion of two hundred years since the Greek National Revival of 1821.
The schedule of the festivities of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece for the year 2021, to mark the anniversary of the completion of two hundred years since the Greek National Revival of 1821, was updated at the meeting, held in the Events Hall of the Palace of the Holy Synod, on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, from 10:00 to 13:00.
Twelve new proposals for these festivities were also submitted by the Metropolitans of Greece.
In the presence of 62 representatives of the Holy Metropolises a fruitful dialogue took place and the new book of Apostoliki Diakonia “Homer Travels in History”, which is part of the series Greek History and Christian Faith, as well as its accompanying teaching material were presented.
