On the morning of Thursday, September 19, 2024, the Representative of Malta to the Palestinian Authority – Ramallah, Mr Franklin Aquilina, visited the Patriarchate.
He was received by Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem, Who informed him about the Patriarchate’s complex, pastoral, cultural and peace-making work for the benefit of all the Christians of the Holy Land.
On this visit, Patriarch Theophilos presented Mr Franklin Aquilina with a beautiful silver-plated painting of Jerusalem and an icon of the Theotokos.
Afterwards, Patriarch Theophilos received the Franciscan priest Fr Dobromir and the Franciscan monk Fr Athanasios Makora regarding the Status Quo of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
Finally, Patriarch Theophilos received a small group of priests and pilgrims from Romania and blessed them.
