The Patriarchate of Romania has announced that the holy relics of Saint Spyridon will be brought from Corfu to Bucharest on Saturday, October 12, 2019.
Communique: Relics of St Spyridon to come to Bucharest
A delegation of the Metropolis of Corfu, headed by Metropolitan Nektarios, will bring to Romania the right hand of Saint Spyridon the bishop of Trimythous and wonderworker for the feast of Saint Paraskeva, on October 11-17, 2019.
In this context, the reliquary containing the right hand of Saint Spyridon, bishop of Trimythous, will be placed for veneration inside the baldachin of the Patriarchal Cathedral on the Hill of Joy in Bucharest on Saturday, Oct. 12. The relics will remain there from 7.00 am to 14.00 pm.
At 14.30 p.m., the delegation of the Metropolis of Corfu will depart for Iași to attend the celebrations dedicated to the feast of Saint Paraskeva.
