The Holy Metropolis of Vratsa informed the faithful and the public that false and defamatory reports had recently been circulating online.
These reports attributed fabricated statements to Metropolitan Gregory of Vratsa regarding two Bulgarian political and public figures.
The Metropolis clearly stated that the Metropolitan never made these statements, and the information being disseminated is entirely baseless and untrue. This deliberate attempt at disinformation aimed to distort the Metropolitan’s image and involve the Church in matters foreign to its mission.
The Holy Metropolis of Vratsa urged Orthodox Christians and society at large to exercise caution and not give credence to these malicious and misleading posts, which caused confusion and scandal.
Legal proceedings have been initiated, and the relevant state authorities have been notified to investigate the matter and hold those responsible for fabricating and disseminating the false content accountable.
The Holy Metropolis of Vratsa remains steadfastly dedicated to God’s spiritual ministry to His people and will not involve itself in worldly disputes.
