Metropolis of Ilia decided to offer hospitality to vulnerable migrant groups and especially single-parent families.

Specifically, at the initiative of Metropolitan Germanos of Ilia, about 50-60 women with minor children will be housed in the premises of the Poretsou Monastery, near the village of Agrabela in Kalavrita.

This symbolic move arrives, a few days after the public statement of Metropolitan Ignatios Dimitrias and Almyros, who had emphasised that “Orthodoxy cares for everyone wherever they come from.”
