On June 25, 2016, the work of the Holy and Great Council in Crete was completed and the next day a co-liturgy of the Primates was held officiated by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
This year, the Halki Seminary published the new work of Bishop Kyrillos of Abydos concerning the Council entitled “The Holy and Great Council in Crete: The Orthodox Church and the heterodox” regarding the burning issue of the inter-Christian dialogue.
The publication with the prestige of its author, Bishop Kyrillos of Abydos, Professor at the Department of Social Theology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, examines in many ways the decisions of the Council and their impact.
