The Archbishop of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Pargev Martirosyan, was hospitalized with a heart attack, as reported by Armenian media.
According to a relevant publication, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan had been admitted to the hospital a few days earlier with a heart attack. It is also reported that a decision will be made on the issue of his transportation to the US in order to undergo surgery.
It is noted that the administrative headquarters of the Diocese is located in the city of Shusha which came under the control of Azerbaijan after the fighting and as a result of the ceasefire agreement signed last week.
