From the very first moment, after the powerful earthquake took place in the region of Korça, where significant damages incurred to houses and many people were removed from their homes, both Archbishop Anastasios of Albania and Metropolitan Joan showed their interest immediately.
In this context, priests of the Metropolis of Korça visited a village in the region and provided humanitarian aid and spiritual support to earthquake victims who lost their houses.
They addressed, with much love and warm and honest words, the troubled inhabitants, regardless of religion and origin.
