Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou held a phone conversation with Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East of the Greek Orthodox Church to extend her holiday greetings and express solidarity with the Patriarchate during challenging times in the region.
During the call, President Sakellaropoulou conveyed the Greek people’s wishes for the festive season and reaffirmed Greece’s solidarity with the Patriarchate of Antioch. She expressed hope that the holidays and the New Year would bring peace and prosperity to Syria and Lebanon, amidst the ongoing developments in the region.
In response, Patriarch John X expressed his gratitude to the Greek President for her support and emphasized the deep historical ties between the Antiochian Church and the Greek people. He reciprocated her wishes, hoping the New Year would bring blessings to the government and people of Greece.
