President of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas, received Archbishop Damianos of Sinai, Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Saint Catherine on Mount Sinai, at the Presidential Mansion. During the meeting, Archbishop Damianos extended an invitation to President Tasoulas to attend the upcoming festival of the Holy Monastery of Saint Catherine, scheduled for the end of the year.
The Archbishop discussed with President Tasoulas the current developments concerning the affairs of the Monastery of Saint Catherine of Sinai and expressed gratitude for the continued support of the Greek State.
Archbishop Damianos also assured the President that he will do everything possible to safeguard the rights of the Holy Monastery of Saint Catherine. He took the opportunity to thank the Greek people, through President Tasoulas, for their solidarity and support.
Present at the meeting were the legal representative of the Monastery, lawyer Christos Kompiliris, the Monastery’s Press Representative, Archimandrite Porphyrios, and the secretary, Aikaterini Spyropoulou.
