This morning, Trisagia and prayers for the repose of the soul of the late Archbishop Anastasios were held in all the churches of Albania.
In Tirana, at the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Metropolitan Ioannis of Korçë, Locum Tenens of the Archdiocesan Throne, along with Metropolitans Asti of Vlora and Bishop Nathaniel of Amantia.
The Holy Synod of the Church of Albania has declared a five-day mourning period, from January 25 to 29.
The reception of the body of the late Archbishop will take place at the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Tirana on Tuesday, January 28, at 16:00.
Following the reception, tributes will be held inside the Cathedral that afternoon and continue throughout the following day, Wednesday, January 29.
The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, January 30, at 11:00, immediately after the Divine Liturgy.
