On the evening of Cheesefare Sunday, 22 February 2026, at the Patriarchal and Monastic Church of Saints Constantine and Helen, following the Service of the Small Compline, the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Theophilos III, read the Prayer of Forgiveness in view of the Holy and Great Lent beginning on the following day.
Upon the reading of the prayer, the Holy Sepulchre Hierarchs and Priests exchanged the osculation of forgiveness with His Beatitude. Likewise, the other members of the Holy Sepulchre Brotherhood approached and reverently kissed his hand.
